Book Blogger Hop August 7th - August 13th: Limit 115 Is Also Called the Blue Flu and the New Plague in Fallout

Book Blogger Hop

Jen at Crazy for Books restarted her weekly Book Blogger Hop to help book bloggers connect with one another, but then couldn't continue, so she handed the hosting responsibilities off to Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer. The only requirements to participate in the Hop are to write and link a post answering the weekly question and then visit other blogs that are also participating to see if you like their blog and would like to follow them.

This week Billy asks: Do you ever do a review post based on a holiday? For example review Christmas theme books in December.

I don't really like holiday themed posts, but I reviewed one seasonally themed book during the appropriate season. I reviewed Zanna's Gift, which is a treacly Christmas themed story, in December 2010. Usually, though, if I review a holiday themed book, I do it out of season, like I did when I reviewed Letters from Father Christmas in late January, 2014. Other than the review for Zanna's Gift, the only holiday-themed thing I have done is bend my Musical Monday posts towards holiday related music as a holiday approaches. The rest of the time, I usually just ignore the existence of holidays when I am posting material.

  1. Holiday themed books are good any time of year. :-) I've been known to post out of season too.

    1. @Literary Feline: I am very bad at reading on a schedule - this is the main reason I rarely participate in blog tours. So reading something in order to get it reviewed by a particular holiday is usually just not in the cards for me.
